ICON provides a platform for the dissemination and exchange of top-level scientific findings, methods, and ideas across various areas of cognitive neuroscience, including all topics such as language, attention, decision making, and many more, with relevance both for healthy brain functioning and for neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders. Core technologies for this audience include both brain imaging (EEG, MEG, MRI) and stimulation (TMS, TACS, TDCS) approaches, together with psychometrics and cognitive testing.

ICON是认知神经科学领域最重要的国际会议之外，关注的主题包括语言、注意、决策和等在健康人和精神疾病患者上的研究。核心的技术包括神经成像（EEG、MEG、MRI）和神经刺激（TMS、TACS和TDCS）等。
